Stuart + Nancy / Restaurant Cotton
Nestled among rows of southern farmland sits the Oak Ridge United Methodist Church, which served as a hospital during the Civil War. Nancy’s history runs deep in Oak Ridge, where her family once farmed cotton. Stuart and Nancy spoke of what photographs would be important to them: home, family, friends and music. I knew from the get go that they would give me a great story to tell. The night was capped by a warm evening of dinner and dancing at Chef Cory Bahr’s RESTAURANT COTTON.
In honor of Stuart and Nancy’s love of music, here are a couple of songs from the soundtrack of the day. Keep an eye out for photos of Nancy singing “The Weight” to close out the night.
